Snore Relief Tips

How to deal with snoring?
I am a very light sleeper and my husband snores quite badly. I’ve tried ear plugs but find them very uncomfortable and I also like to listen to relaxing music when going to sleep. We usually spend quite a few nights sleeping in separate rooms. Can anyone help? We don’t want to go on like this, and we have tried every over the counter relief but to not avail. I would love to find a solution that works!!!!
Answer
is he over weight and does he smoke, i snore and was told by my doc to loose weight and give up smoking as a specialist would not even look at me until i had lost weight and given up smoking, if it is really loud then it is most probably in the throat where the soft palate collapses when you are relaxed this causes the vibration which we hear as snoring or i could be that the bottom jaw is falling back while asleep, does he have a big overbite, with the jaws closed is there more than a 6mm overlap between top teeth and bottom teeth, if yes then i would suggest trying a mandibular advancement device,(MAD) , they are a bit like a gum shield used for rugby/american football, they are moulded to the wearers teeth and pull the bottom jaw forward in line with the top jaw.
